What are the benefits of olfactory marketing in the hotel industry?
Olfactory marketing in hotels offers several significant benefits. Firstly, it contributes to creating a unique and memorable experience for guests, establishing an emotional connection with the brand. Additionally, strategically using scents can positively influence the perception of the environment, enhancing the hotel's image and creating a sense of well-being. Customer loyalty is also a benefit, as pleasant aromas can leave a lasting impression, encouraging guests to return. In summary, olfactory marketing not only adds a distinctive element to the hotel's brand but also enhances customer satisfaction and strengthens the property's unique identity.
What are the most commonly used scents in hotels to enhance the guest experience?
In hotels, commonly used scents often include fresh fragrances such as lemon, lavender, mint, or eucalyptus, conveying a sense of cleanliness and relaxation. Warm notes like vanilla, cinnamon, or wood are also employed to create cozy atmospheres. The specific choice of scents may vary based on the hotel's identity and style, always aiming to create a unique and pleasant sensory experience for guests.
Are the scents used in hotels safe for the health of guests?
Yes, the scents used in hotels are designed with safety in mind. All aromas comply with the regulations set by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA). Additionally, each aroma employed in the hotel has a safety data sheet detailing its components, ensuring that it meets the established standards of quality and safety. This approach guarantees that guests can enjoy a pleasant olfactory experience while maintaining a safe environment for their well-being.
In which areas of hotels is olfactory marketing commonly utilized?
Olfactory marketing is typically employed in various areas of hotels to enhance the overall guest experience. Commonly scented areas include hotel lobbies, reception areas, hallways, and guest rooms. Some hotels also extend the use of fragrance to specific amenities such as spas, fitness centers, and even conference rooms. The strategic use of scents in these spaces aims to create a welcoming and memorable atmosphere, contributing to guests' overall satisfaction and enjoyment during their stay.
What types of diffusers are commonly used in hotels?
In hotels, various types of diffusers are employed in different areas to achieve effective fragrance distribution. For spacious areas like lobbies, air stream diffusers are often used to disperse scents evenly. In smaller spaces like bathrooms and offices, trace mist diffusers are commonly employed for more localized diffusion. Additionally, in guest rooms, home fragrance diffusers such as reed diffusers are preferred for a personalized and pleasant experience. In large, non-public areas, diffusers like the "Beasty" can be installed through the air conditioning system, enabling powerful and efficient fragrance diffusion to create consistent atmospheres throughout the establishment. This diversity of diffusers allows for a tailored approach to fragrance in each corner of the hotel.
Do you offer exclusivity in the development of olfactory identity for your clients?
Yes, we provide exclusivity in our olfactory development contracts. To clients for whom we create a unique olfactory identity, we guarantee exclusivity throughout the duration of the contract. This means that we commit not to offer the same fragrance to any other client during the agreed-upon period. This measure ensures that the olfactory identity crafted for a client is unique and distinctly reflects the desired brand or environment without duplicates in other locations or establishments.
How long does it take to develop a custom fragrance?
The process of developing a custom fragrance typically takes between 1 and 2 months. This timeframe encompasses the meticulous search for the perfect chemical blend that aligns with the desired identity, ensuring it adheres to our strict ethical code. Additionally, time is dedicated to crafting multiple samples to guarantee the fragrance is exceptional. Once the samples are completed, they are sent to the client for evaluation, ensuring the final fragrance is entirely satisfactory and unique for their specific application.
Are your fragrances natural?
We offer a variety of aromas, some of which are completely natural and hypoallergenic, perfect for sprays and home products. However, it's important to note that essential oil fragrances require a solvent in their chemical composition for diffusion. There is no natural solvent that is free from CMR (carcinogenic, mutagens, reprotoxic chemicals). Therefore, our fragrances contain a carefully balanced combination of natural and synthetic ingredients.
The inclusion of synthetic ingredients helps us limit the use of respiratory allergens and reduce sensitivity to fragrances without compromising olfactive quality. We strive to maintain a balance between quality and sustainability in our formulas. Furthermore, all our fragrances come with IFRA (International Fragrance Association) certificates, ensuring compliance with international safety and quality standards.
